The Vehicle Control Systems section is responsible for Scania’s embedded chassis control system. For the majority of the systems with a link to the ADAS road map, we develop all functionality ourselves. We work in a cross-functional manner with co-located expertise and agile working methods. The work is carried out in teams, with great influence on our approaches to work. We are inspired by lean and agile, and within the teams we have a good spirit, meaning we are open and learn from each other.

The Chassis Controls group has a very inspiring and interesting product portfolio. We are looking for a function developer to be part of one of our teams and to create the conditions for many upcoming functions.

Your duties

As the function owner, you will be responsible for compiling the specifications for upcoming functionality with regard to function, performance and customer benefit. You will also be responsible for administering existing functions. In your role, you will follow your functions from requirements to validation and will create a broad network of contacts.  Your responsibilities will also include dealing with questions for internal and external suppliers. An important part of your role will be to go out and meet end customers in order to understand their future needs.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with an engineering degree and a number of years’ experience of embedded systems. Knowledge and experience of model-based development would be an advantage.

You must be proficient in written and spoken English.

As a person, you will be driven and committed, with a significant interest in technology. You will have a positive attitude and find having numerous contacts stimulating.
