The IT-department has a very central role for the entire Länsförsäkringar AB's business and is responsible for the development and operation of the total IT environment. Group “IT Domain Life” are now looking for an IT solution specialist within AS400. About the job

All application development and application maintenance at Länsförsäkringar AB are outsourced and the IT-department is responsible for managing the outsourced delivery as well as IT in total. Maintenance activities are goal-oriented, using annual maintenance plans and work according to PM3 maintenance model. This position is new and you will work in a dynamic environment with good chances to shape the role.

As IT solution specialist you will be responsible for one of our central base system: Life400 located on an AS400 platform. Life400 is a standard application with customization based on Länsförsäkringar's needs.

Your main tasks are to document and structure IT requirements for outsourced IT development, based on business needs and requests for system changes. As an IT solution specialist you have good knowledge of the system's integrations. You act as a support function in process issues, test performing and in IT operations to secure application stability. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues and external suppliers. You will review the outsourcing partner´s solutions at an application level and will assist the partners in system and system integration tests.

Who are you?

To fit this role you like to work in between business and IT and have a very good knowledge of maintenance, processes and applications from both a business- and an IT perspective.

You have:

  • an academic degree or equivalent education, preferably within IT.
  • good knowledge of AS400
  • experience from Life400 application
  • experience in converting Business Requirements in to IT requirements
  • experience working with outsourcing partners
  • experience with system integration testing, system design and solution suggestions
  • very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing

We see it as an advantage if you also have:

  • knowledge from Life insurance
  • PM3

You are a problem solver and have the ability to communicate in an educational and clear way. You contribute and cooperate well with colleagues and partners and you are a real team player.
