What you will be doing
The Standard and Codes Specialist part of the position is about 20% of the total time, but an essential requirement.
The goal is to support our vision of Supporting Innovation through standardization. Be active in the Standards organizations to make sure that our products meet the highest standards. Monitor and understand the implications of different Standards on the Digital Door Lock on behalf of Shared Technologies.
The remaining part (~80%) of the position may be as one of:
- Senior Electronics design engineer developing our platforms for the next generation.
- Senior Sensor and SW Algorithms developer on our embedded platforms.
- Senior UHF Radio Designer improving our products into a more and more wireless world.
- Project lead and Configuration Manager guiding our teams in efficient product development.
What we are looking for
We think that you have experience of working with electrical, radio, protocol and building standards. Having the ability to read and understand how our products are affected by the changes in the regulations. Being able to actively work in standards organizations and the internal Standard and Codes forum, sharing knowledge and giving recommendations to the organization in the area.
On the remaining time ~80% you may work with any of following specializations:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer we think that you have previous experience from working in a manufacturing company, and from working in an international environment. You are used to working with CAD and of creating test specifications for the products you are working with, and you are an experienced project participant. You will be working in a small team of electrical designers that cooperate in developing and reviewing our reference designs and the different final implementations from the divisions. The different specializations in the group range from low power, UHF, battery management to low cost design.
As a Senior developer in our Pre Product Innovation team you will be working as a SW developer specialized in Sensors and algorithms for Embedded Systems. We think you have a wide range of hands-on competences in creating prototypes for our think-tank department. Rapid prototyping of ideas and proving what is the next technology to add to our products. Development ranges from simple bare bone devices written in C to embedded Linux systems running C++ or Java applications. The interaction with cloud and micro services is also a part of your everyday work.
As a Senior UHF Radio Designer we expect you to be able to guide us in developing our products into a wireless world. What technologies should we go for and how to we make our current products to handle the increasingly crowded airways. Our battery operated devices require a balance of battery-life, cost efficiency and radio coverage.
As a Senior Configurations Manager we think that you have previous experience from working in a manufacturing company, and from working in an international environment. You should be able to advice the organization with best practices and how to manage the different products throughout their lifecycle. To be able to manage the products through certification and testing periods all the way into launching the next generation together with our divisions and our production partners around the world.
Working in a global company with very clear Lean ambitions we expect you to be experienced in working internationally with continuous improvements delivering the most cost efficient solution at all times.
Since English is our corporate language we expect you to have a high professional knowledge and be able to speak, read and write freely when interacting with your international colleagues.
