The Clinical Genomics (Stockholm) (http://www.scilifelab.se/facilities/clinical-genomics/) unit is a national research infrastructure at SciLifeLab. Together with caregivers in Sweden, we work towards advanced clinical tests, based on massively parallel DNA sequencing, becoming part of the routine diagnostics in the healthcare sector. Our mission is to ensure that the diagnostics offered in Sweden is at the international forefront.
We work in close collaboration with geneticists, pathologists, molecular biologists, clinicians and others both within SciLifeLab as well as healthcare providers in Sweden. We can offer an environment where the mission is to improve the patient management, exciting work tasks, and a team spirit allowing us to quicker achieve our common goals. On the technical level our work is highly competitive at the international level; we actively work to test the boundaries and develop our services further.
We are looking for a new colleague with expertise in the area of software development. The expected duties are connected to further development of support tools for clinical decision support.
- Python development experience (or other modern scripting language)
- Database experience using *SQL (+ MongoDB)
- Managing data workflows, keeping track of state
- Writing tests, setting up a automated testing like Travis-CI
- Some experience with AWS/GCP or interest in learning
- Bachelor degree within computer or life sciences, or other equivalent experience
- Advanced level programming knowhow (python is meriting)
- Experience of working with large-scale or life science data is meriting
- Fluency in English
- Personal qualifications that enhance collaboration internally and externally
