The Product Development department within Scania IT is responsible for developing and managing IT support systems within Scania’s Research & Development area.

The recruiting group currently consists of around 10 people: a test manager, developers, requirement analyst and software architects. We are responsible for the development & maintenance of .NET applications that support the design & process areas within Scania R&D and aftermarket. The team is involved in the entire system development process, from concept development to implementation and maintenance. We are aiming for self-supporting teams with focus on quality assurance.

We are a self-organised team who love to have fun! We are now looking for an enthusiastic person with a background in software test automation and loves new challenges!

Your role
We can offer you a role as a member of a development team where your responsibilities will be to:
  • to lead the design, build, test and deploy process for Test Automation
  • document and execute test cases based on the test objectives
  • executing test cases/scripts, for integration, regression, and performance testing
  • a major part of your role will be to work together with the team and contribute towards our agile journey

Your profile
We believe that you have a university degree within IT/Computer Science or similar, complemented with 3-5 years’ experience from testing or development. We also think you have the following:
  • at least 2 years of experience in Test automation using Selenium or Protractor for .NET applications
  • strong analytical skills & an ability to communicate effectively in a team setup
  • an open-minded individual with an eye for continuous improvements
  • experience with Agile or iterative/incremental software development methods such as SCRUM,KANBAN
  • proficient and efficient in test implementation and execution
  • are a positive and driven person who takes responsibility for personal development
It is an advantage if you
  • have a background in .NET programming and/or experience with SOAP and REST web services
  • are good at SQL and confident in creating queries to validate data integrity and other data constraints
  • have experience working with Team Foundation Server
  • have a background as a team lead
We expect applicants to be organised, have a strong analytical capability and a service-minded approach with a focus on quality. To be successful in this role you will also need to have good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business. You are happy working in a team, but are also capable of working independently. As the corporate language is English, the position requires the ability to speak, write and understand English at a high level.
