The Digital Machining Business department team plays a crucial part in taking the lead regarding strategic direction of our digital solutions and offer to our customers. Within our Digital Machining Business, we explore new market opportunities, define, develop and deliver digital solutions in the machining area. We develop new offers and services using data from various assets (machines or tools) and processes, developing descriptive, adaptive and autonomous solutions. Our aim is to grow our business within the Digital Machining area, securing growth and a leading market position throughestablishing strategic partnerships and developing digital solutions, standards and intelligent machining technologies.

Our business consists of two areas: Design and Planning and Machining. We are now looking for a Digital Offer Manager for the Machining area to join us in a team-leader role.

Your new role

Being a member of the Digital Machining Business team means that you will be a part of a skilled, collaborative and committed team working with business plans, strategic direction and product offers, both hardware and software. A part from leading the team as a team leader, you will be responsible for shaping our overall offer working close with the rest of the organization, including Product managers, business development and developers among others. Key performance areas
Our focus is to understand customer needs, pain points and direction to develop solutions that generate value and improved efficiency. As Digital Offer Manager, your mission is to develop and manage our business plan, securing future growth by exploring new opportunities and managing new offers and services. In close collaboration with your team and other parts of the organization, you lead the work on, and are accountable for, securing new solutions for both hardware and software within the area. You coach your team, and drive key activities to secure our overall competitive offer within the field.

Success factors

  • Working close to customers identifying customer pains, needs and future direction within the area

  • Securing overall strategy for product portfolio of software and hardware within the team

  • Developing and securing a competitive business plan, business model and offer roadmap

  • Actively developing strong relationships and working together with external partners in securingbusiness models, license agreements and distribution, acting as a trusted advisor to customers

  • Keeping track of global legal demands and data transfer legislation, in collaboration with Sandvik’s legal function, to ensure that our offer is following both local and global laws

Your profile
We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of professional work with Project management and an entrepreneurial mindset and preferably experience from driving strategy work. You have previous experience from project management and from coaching people in virtual, multifunctional and international teams. You have some experience with through lean administration or agile management and ways of working.

You have atechnical degree, a BSc in Business Management, or equivalent knowledge gained through working experience. To be successful in this position, you need strong sales and business experience and acumen and must understand the principles of machining economics and the customer value chain. It’s beneficial to have knowledge of applications and production technology, such as CNC machining, CAM, and software development. As we work in an international setting, you need excellent communication skills in English, while skills in Swedish are a plus.
