Digital Machining is a new department within Sandvik Coromant, with the mandate to bring digital offers and products to the market that redefine the value chain experience for our customers through improved efficiency of operations. We do this through our software and hardware digital solutions, empowered by our core machining knowledge. This department is driving one of the most important strategic initiative for Sandvik Coromant and our aim is to position Sandvik Coromant as a digital leader in the metal cutting industry.
 

We are now looking for a Manager of Service Operations; a function with responsibility for making our digital products ready for market and for supporting all after market activities. In this position, you build the function from grounds up and support our growth journey – giving you the possibility to make a substantial impact on our ways of working while leveraging your experience and knowledge.
 

The location for this position is flexible between Sandviken or Stockholm, with travel to other locations across Europe and internationally.
 

Key performance areas
In this position, you are responsible for building our Service Operations team, including the processes and ways of working.

Service Operations Team responsibilities:

  • Onboarding new releases of our products and offers to supply chain processes and systems; making them sales ready
  • Software availability and distribution
  • Product, application and platform maintenance, including bug fixes
  • Developing and owning processes for L2 and L3 support
  • Providing second and third line support to customers with full ownership of processes, resources and IT solutions
  • Driving product support based on customer SLA’s and KPI’s
     

The department works very closely with other divisions within Digital Machining as well as other Sandvik Coromant departments. To establish and maintain seamless operations, you are responsible for ensuring that dependencies and relationships are managed between the different groups. In this position, you are a member of the Digital Machining Management team and report directly to the Head of Digital Machining.


Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant degree - or the equivalent knowledge gained from working - and extensive experience from service operations. You have at least six years’ experience from a managerial position and domain knowledge around Industrial IoT, while ITIL Certification is beneficial. Since we work in a truly global environment, you have exceptional skills in English, while knowledge of Swedish and other languages is an advantage.

With excellent communication skills, you establish and develop strong relationships, both with stakeholders and coworkers.
