Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.

Purchasing IT are supporting Scania with purchasing solutions, covering the whole lifecycle; from requirements, implementation projects to ongoing further development and maintenance. 

Today’s group manager is taking up new challenges and we are now looking for an experienced group manager wanting to broaden her/his knowledge within the business area of purchasing. 

Your work assignment

You will as an servant leader guide and support your team to develop innovative and cost efficient solutions and services to maximize business value.

The purchasing organisations within the TRATON group are co-operating and you will take an active part in the future purchasing IT strategy and solutions.

We know that diverse teams are strong teams and Purchasing IT consists of different ages, backgrounds, experiences and nationalities (~15 persons). You will as a leader coach your employees based on Scania’s values and principles and with motivate them to individual performance and development while fostering a strong team culture.

As a group manager for Purchasing IT you are part of the IT Departments Management Team as well as a the Purchasing Business Development Management Team.

Your profile

Our expectation is to meet a person with passion, curiosity and determination with high level of empathy and a business oriented mindset.

You have proven experience from coaching and leading teams in their work with continuous delivery and know how to build self-organised high performance teams.

Your stakeholder management skills are very good as you are expected to handle multiple business relations as well as coordinating several IT service delivery organizations to support your business. You’ll be developing a wide network of contacts both within and outside of Sweden, therefore you need to be proficient in written and spoken Swedish and English.

If you have been working within the purchasing or quality process/IT systems or SAP S4 Hana, API integrations as well as language skills in German it’s a strong plus.

To be successful in this role you will enjoy working at a high speed pace in an evolving, strongly dynamic environment. Problem solving, meeting tight deadlines and achieving results are as critical as strong relationship skills to continue the effective cooperation with business and internal IT.
