System and Safety Architect
Electrified and efficient powertrains will play a key role in the transport solutions of the future. We are currently looking for an experienced system and security architect to work with the electric vehicles of the future and advanced powertrain system solutions, where functional safety is a fundamental part of the solution. At NE Powertrain Control Systems we develop the world’s best powertrain control, with a strong customer focus, working methods close to the vehicle and a strong team spirit. We are at the forefront in terms of both technology and working methods.
In the built-in software systems of the future, functional safety concepts will be a fundamental part of the basic technical solution, and will therefore need to be developed closely with the basic system architecture. The close link between the concepts that emerge requires new approaches to work and new solutions, and offers new and interesting engineering challenges to manage.
The Transmission System Software group is responsible for the complete gearbox and powertrain control system, including software architecture and safety concepts.
Our group is characterised by a strong sense of community and team spirit, and great enthusiasm for continued development.
In the role of System and Security Architect, you will work in a team of experienced developers with responsibility for dealing with architectural issues in terms of both system architecture and functional safety, for the gearbox management system for heavy vehicles throughout the group.
Your focus will be on independently developing our overall system architecture, and analysing, defining and implementing technical solutions and concepts. You will also have a far-reaching responsibility for developing the concept of functional safety, and in some projects you will assume the role of Functional Safety Manager.
An important part of the work is also to actively participate in the development of working methods and tools to support our long-term strategic goals.
The role of architect is a strategically important one in a creative and dynamic work environment with a high level of technology, where you will have great opportunities for influencing the technology of the future.
You will have an MSc in Engineering or equivalent knowledge from work experience within software development of real-time systems. You have very good knowledge of the development of real-time systems and experience of coding. Good knowledge of C, Matlab Simulink and Python, XML or equivalent would also be an advantage.
You will need knowledge of and experience from functional safety work, e.g. working methods such as HARA and FMEA. Knowledge of the ISO 26262 standard would also be an advantage.
You will have well-developed analytical and strategic thinking skills, and can analyse the organisation’s overall strategic needs and on that basis implement the necessary changes. You have well-established expertise within the requested areas, and want to continuously develop both your expertise and working methods. You express yourself accurately, clearly and concisely in writing and in speech, and have the ability to communicate your analysis in an engaging way.
You have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing in English.
In addition to career and development opportunities, we can also offer Scania employees other benefits, such as an employee car, performance bonuses, a pension, flexible working hours, a fitness centre, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania Jobexpress.
